Bill Lamoreaux 

     My litigation background includes 50 years experience litigating in state and federal courts throughout the United States including the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Federal Districts of  Texas, the District of Colorado, the Northern District of Georgia, and the Federal Courts of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and the 8th Circuit.

 

     I served on the State Bar of Texas District 6A Grievance Committee from 1999 to 2005 and have given expert testimony on labor and employment matters and on legal ethics for the State Bar of Texas and in lawsuits.

     

     The Texas Board of Legal Specialization has certified me in Civil Trial Law and in Labor and Employment Law  

 

     I am a former chair of the Dallas Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section, have been a contributor to The Developing Labor Law (an American Bar Association publication updated annually) from 1975 to 2016, am currently a director of the Dallas Veterans Administration Research Corporation, and have served as a director of the Addison Texas Airport Board.

 

     I have been a solo practitioner since 1985. From 1972 to 1077 I advised National Labor Relations Board Members Ralph Kennedy and Peter Walther on the disposition of cases and drafted opinions for them.  From 1977 to 1980 I represented the Library of Congress in contract negotiations, grievance and arbitration disputes, unfair labor practices cases, and employment discrimination.  From 1980 to 1985 I represented the Air line Pilot Association in collective bargaining negotiations, grievances, arbitrations and in National Transportation Safety Board hearings. 

 

     My B.A degree is from the University of Michigan in 1969 and J.D. is from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1972.  I have additional coursework at Georgetown University Law Center.

 

     My Martindale Hubbell rating is “AV,” the highest possible professional rating from this nationally recognized legal directory.

 

     The Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program has given me multiple awards for pro bono legal services work from 1988 to the present.

 

     My wife Jan and I have had five cats (all deceased):  Samantha, Barrister, Affidavit, Subpoena and Justice.
